two-stroke not only survives but thrives. Need proof? KTM sells more two-strokes than several Japanese brands sell in their complete four- stroke offroad line. Are two-strokes making a comeback? Who cares! They are here now. Let’s enjoy what we have. To that end, MXA presents a guide to two-stroke motocross models (and select enduro models that can be used for motocross).

Price: $6599 Country of manufacture: Austria Fork: WP 4860 MXMA CC Shock: WP 5018 BAVP DCC Bore x stroke: 56mm x 58.4mm Compression ratio: N/A Carburetor: Keihin PWK 38mm Tires: (front) Dunlop MX51 80/100-21, (rear) Dunlop MX51 100/90-19 Transmission: Six-speed Quick facts: The KTM 150SX is the big brother of the KTM 125SX, producing more power throughout the whole power curve. It is actually a 144. A few upgrades for the KTM 150SX include a thread-on gas cap with a larger opening (compared to last year’s quarter-turn locking cap) and some beefed-up radiators with thicker aluminum to prevent bending. KTM also offers the KTM 150XC enduro model.
