2015 Yamaha YZ450F: In 2014, the YZ450F
topped the horsepower charts at over 58 ponies.
With this in mind, for 2015 Yamaha focused
their attention on handling. They revised the
fork internals and changed the shape and
material of the motor mounts. The airbox now
uses fasteners instead of bolts to access the air
filter. Aesthetically, Yamaha swapped the silver
Excel rims for black. A gold chain is stock for
better curb appeal. The YZ450F also comes with
the new breed of Dunlop’s MX52 tires.
Yamaha hasn’t made any monumental updates to the YZ250
in nearly a decade. For 2015 the trusty two-stroke receives a
major facelift in the plastic and graphics departments.
One of the most fun bikes we have
ever ridden, the YZ125 serves as
a reminder to the unbridled joy of
holding the throttle wide open and
attacking the track. It’s pure bliss.
