( 16)Every bike in the 2017 Husqvarna lineup has lost at least 3 pounds. The TC125 has gone from 196.4 pounds to
192.7 pounds. The TC250 has gone from 215.4 pounds
to 211.2 pounds. The FC250 has gone from 220.7
pounds to 217.8 pounds. The FC350 has gone from
224.2 pounds to 221.3 pounds, and the FC450 has gone
from 225.6 pounds to 223.1 pounds.
( 17)The 2017 TC250 two-stroke engine features a new shaft arrangement for better mass centralization, a new counterbalancer shaft
that reduces vibration, a new twin-valve-controlled power
valve and a re-worked five-speed gearbox.
( 18)The TC250’s clutch shaft is now 4mm higher, while the crankshaft position is 19.5mm higher to help centralize the
oscillating mass. Additionally, the counterbalancer shaft
has been integrated so it doesn’t affect the overall design,
while new engine covers offer better protection from the
wear created by riders’ boots. The TC250 also gets a DDS
(Damped Diaphragm Steel) clutch system, and a 38mm
flat-slide Mikuni TMX carburetor.
