EVANS WATERLESS COOLANT
Evans Waterless Powersports coolant is a waterless
antifreeze/coolant that is glycol-only based instead of
glycol and water. It is a direct replacement for traditional
VERDICT: Antifreeze raises the boiling point of your
engine’s water to 265 degrees. Evans Waterless Powersport
coolant has a boiling point of 375 degrees. Coolant only
works as long as it stays in a liquid state. Once it begins
to boil, it turns to steam. Steam has zero ability to transfer
heat from the engine’s metal components. Evans coolant
won’t boil in your engine. One warning: water is a contaminant. More than 3-5% water compromises performance.

THOR MX PULSE GEAR
In an age when $152 won’t buy you a pair of pants from
some companies, with the Thor Pulse gear, it will cover the
complete ensemble—pants, jersey and gloves.
VERDICT: Ordering the accurate pant size is important,
as the waist offers precise sizing. The pant legs were on
the short side, thus you may have to upsize the waist to
get the length if you are tall. For riders under 6 feet, it was
no problem. The Thor Pulse gear is constructed of durable
materials with solid stitching. At this price, Thor’s quality
is a strong point.

DUBYA CERAKOTE WHEELSET
VERDICT: We’d love to say that having our hubs
Cerakoted added 2 horsepower, but that isn’t what
Cerakoting does. There is really only one motivation for
Cerakoting your hubs, and that is to make them look more
DIGITS: $200.00 (Cerakote two hubs); $428.95 (two
D.I.D. ST-X rims); $99.00/$95.00 (silver Bulldog spokes with
spline drive or OEM aluminum nipples); $60.00 (lacing and

NITROMOUSSE ELASTOMER FOAM
The Nitromousse differs from the typical offroad mousse
used by desert and Baja racers in that the Nitromousse’s
tube-shaped elastomer foam is charged with nitrogen
instead of air. The nitrogen provides a livelier and more
predictable feel than the typical mousse. Most important
is that a Nitromousse can never go flat.
VERDICT: Compared to a conventional air-filled tube,
the Nitromousse tubes were dead-feeling. The tires would
thud through braking and square-edged bumps and transmit that force to the rider’s hands. But, they couldn’t go
flat, and the tires performed just as well as with a conventional tube filled to 12 psi.
