a simple plastic device that

goggle strap to

one at a time. The EZ-Tear Strap Ramp is little more than
a hollow, scoop-shaped plastic container that holds the
next tear-off in the on-deck circle until it’s needed. It
slips over your goggle strap and can be positioned in
the perfect spot to accept the long tear-off tabs.
VERDICT: Nobody has developed a better solution
for organizing tear-offs. It solves the problem of grabbing
all of your tear-offs at one time, but it does require a
certain amount of trial and error to master. The EKS
Brand EZ-Tear is the best (and only) product for the job.

Apart from its Imperial
Stormtrooper look, the
most innovative part
of the Mobius X8 knee

VERDICT: There is
a learning process to
getting the X8 to be comfortable. Sizing plays a big role,
so try before you buy. We struggled initially, but after
changing pads, extension stops and fiddling with the fit,
we came to believe that this is an excellent knee brace.

its smooth shape,
the air flows over it with less disturbance. By eliminating
the turbulence-producing butterfly valve, the R&D Genius

VERDICT: This is a serious racing product that
improves throttle response and power. Designed to take
a fully hopped-up engine to the nth degree, it has been
used by factory teams in both motocross and road
racing. The price for this level of sophistication is high.

PRO-PEGS TITANIUM FOOTPEGS
Pro-Pegs titanium footpegs are manufactured in
Holland from high-grade Ti-6AL-4V titanium. Each piece
of the footpeg—from the bracket to the cross section to
the outer platform—is TIG-welded together. As a result,
the Pro-Pegs have a factory look with impressive strength
characteristics. Pro-Pegs titanium footpegs span 60mm
and have 29 very sharp teeth. The grooves in the teeth
are also twice as deep as the grooves on stock pegs.
VERDICT: The wide, 60mm platforms gave us the
confidence to blast through treacherous sections of track
or flat land from big jumps (it happens) without having
the arches of our feet get wrapped up like a pretzel.
The Pro-Pegs have the distinction of being large
without being chunky.
