European Championship before that. He is young and
already has many titles. What I really like about him is
that he is World Champion in the MXGP, and he is still
humble and grounded. He has not flown away with a big
ego. I always enjoy having fun with him, and he is very

ARE YOU SAYING THERE ARE RIDERS YOU
DON’T RESPECT? There are riders who win titles
and get such a big head that you cannot even shake

not difficult. For the races in Europe, I have a motor-home, so it is way easy. Also, we have an easy baby who
doesn’t seem to mind the travel. I find that it is important
that my family is near me. My wife helps me at the races,

happy, so I am really having fun having my family at the
races. If I am stressed at the race, my baby can make

In Europe, the problem is that the tracks are small and
tight. If you are in the back of the pack, it’s just like
being on a train, because there’s not much chance to
bust towards the front. It is not like in the U.S. where
the tracks are wider with a bunch of different lines. ❏
