NEKEN SFH HANDLEBARS
The Neken SFH handlebars are standard 25.4mm oversize handlebars that taper gradually down to 22mm and
then, in the last 6 inches, to 18mm. In effect, the SFH bars
are 4mm smaller in the grip and throttle section than a
normal handlebar. Neken uses the smaller bar to make
the grips 4mm thicker. That is double the thickness of a

shaped foam filter and
cage, thus Yamaha
uses a 15mm-thick flat
foam air filter that is
held in place by an
external cage. This
isn’t the optimum lay-
out for maximum air-
flow. Also, because of
the flat filter, the center
of the stock YZ450F air
filter vibrates against
the backfire screen to
shake dirt through the stock air filter.
VERDICT: Twin Air uses a central grommet to space
the air filter away from the wire screen, which stops the
wire screen from shaking dirt through the foam. A must-have.
