HONDA CRF450 Spring rate: 35 psi Oil height: 242cc Compression: 11 clicks out ( 13 clicks out) Rebound: 10 clicks out Fork-leg height: 5mm up Notes: Theoretically, going up 2 psi is the equivalent of going up one spring rate (from 0.47 to 0.48). That means that the 2014 forks, when set to Honda’s specs, are one spring rate stiffer than in 2013. The higher the pressure, the greater the ramp-up effect at the end of the stroke, which is why Honda lowered the fork-oil height from 245cc to 242cc.
KAWASAKI KX450F Spring rate: 35 psi Oil height: 245cc Compression: 11 clicks out Rebound: 19 clicks out Fork-leg height: 5mm up Notes: Tuning air forks is complicated by the ramp-up effect. Thus, if you add fork oil or air pressure to make the forks a little firmer, they will become harsher at the end of the stroke.
KTM 450SXF Spring rate: 0.50 kg/mm Oil height: 390cc Compression: 9 clicks out ( 12 clicks stock) Rebound: 12 clicks out Fork-leg height: 5mm up Notes: If you are looking for plusher forks, lower the oil height by 10cc to 380cc. If you are faster and looking for firmer forks, raise the oil height by 10cc or 20cc (400cc or 410cc). The clickers cannot iron out the issues that Pro riders will have with these forks.
SUZUKI RM-Z450 Spring rate: 1.00 kg/mm Oil height: 310cc in left leg, 350cc in right leg Compression: 15 clicks out ( 9 clicks stock) Rebound: 12 clicks out Preload adjuster: 16 clicks in Fork-leg height: All in (clockwise) Notes: To use the preload adjuster, you must turn the clicker all the way out (counterclockwise) and then count clicks back in. As a rule of thumb, four clicks on the adjuster equals 1mm of preload. We turn it all the way in to hold the fork higher in the good part of its stroke.

YAMAHA YZ450F Spring rate: 0.49 Nm Oil height: 335cc Compression: 11 clicks out ( 9 clicks stock) Rebound: 8 clicks out Fork-leg height: 4mm up Notes: For 2014, Yamaha increased the rigidity of the upper stanchion tubes by 3 percent, polished the fork tubes to a higher sheen for better seal life, increased low-speed damping, enlarged the front axle diameter from 20mm to 22mm, upped the spring rate (from 0.48 Nm to 0.49 Nm), and lowered the oil height.
