No way: There is an adjuster behind
the aluminum nut, but don’t adjust it.
ADJUSTING THE KTM 150SX
Does Kreft make a power-valve
adjuster for the KTM 150SX?
If you look closely at the right
side of the 150SX engine, you will
see a large aluminum nut (above
the water pump). This is the
cover for the power-valve mechanism. Under the cover, there is
an adjustment dial, but, in truth,
it is only used to set the power
valve to the factory specs, not to
fine-tune the engine’s power. So,
the answer to your question is
that although you can adjust the
KTM 125/144/150 power valve,
you shouldn’t. And, Kreft does not
make a PowerDial for this model.
2008 KX250F jetting: We just changed
the pilot jet. That’s all.
2008 KAWASAKI KX250F
I bought a used 2008 Kawasaki
KX250F this past winter and it never
seems to run right. Do you have any
Yes. The stock 2008 pilot jet is
too small for summer racing, which
means that it is horrid in the winter.
We suggest upping the pilot from a
40 to a 42. The stock 170 mainjet,
NJET needle and 50 leak jet are
all good. The 2008 KX250F was
sensitive on the fuel screw until we
changed the pilot.
