our YZ250, we didn’t tell them what year it was. To a
man, they thought it was a tricked-out 2016 model. They
were impressed by the power and suspension. Our goal
was to build a 10-year-old bike that could compete with
the latest, greatest bikes on the showroom floors—and
to get a good laugh when we revealed to the test riders
that they were on a 2006 Yamaha YZ250. That kind of
