VP RACING T2 PRE-MIXED LEADED
TWO-STROKE FUEL
T2 is a leaded fuel with a 105-octane rating (R+M/2).
This is more than sufficient to provide all modern two-strokes with protection against detonation. T2 burns
cleaner, contains no ethanol and remains stable in a
sealed container for up to two years.
VERDICT: Thanks to its oxygen content and high
octane rating, T2 produced more power in our 2015 KTM
250SX. The engine ran crisper, pinging under a load
was totally eliminated, and throttle response was better.
Consistent performance is important for riders who
travel to far-away races and have to buy gas from
strange stations.

TORC1
REACTION
SHIFTER
The Torc1
Reaction shifter
is a forged 6061
billet-aluminum
shifter with the
heavy-duty hard-
ware enclosed in
the shifter
tip, but, most
significant, it is 1/4-inch longer and you can increase
the tip length by 5mm increments. The Reaction shifter
comes with a 5mm extension that screws into the end
of the tip, along with a 5mm nut extension that screws
onto the bolt.
VERDICT: Depending on the size of the MXA
test rider’s feet, the 1/4-inch-longer Reaction shifter
extensions were hit-or-miss. Riders with bigger feet
enjoyed the extra room. We also liked the Torc1’s knurling pattern for improved grip on the tip over stock.

USED IT, ABUSED IT, MISUSED IT & LOVED IT
FOX FLEXAIR GEAR
Fox’s new FlexAir gear is not
for the average rider. This is Fox’s lightest,
most unrestricted pant to date, and it was
designed with serious riders in mind, which is code for
slim riders.
VERDICT: If you’re a serious racer, FlexAir gear was
built for you. The biggest negative is the price. We thought
that Seven gear was ridiculously expensive, but it was just
the first in a trend towards pricey riding gear. FlexAir gear
is currently the most expensive motocross gear to ever hit
the market. That said, we loved the fit, the comfort of the
collar, the yoke of the pants and the moisture-wicking
capabilities of the fabric.

FLY RACING SECTOR BOOT
The Sector is Fly Racing’s new entry into the premium
($400 and up) boot market. The Sector boot is a replica
of the TCX 2.1 boot (save for the Fly and Sector logos),
which isn’t a bad thing, because the TCX has gone through
many revisions to get to the tried-and-true 2.1 version.
We especially appreciate its
Torsion Control System
that meters side-to-side
motion.
VERDICT: The initial
break-in of the boot was
a breeze. The boots felt
comfortable after just
a few short motos. The
middle to rear of the
sole had a rigid feel
that most MXA test
riders liked.
