WANT THOSE YELLOW TIRES
Where can I buy the Dunlop tires
that have the yellow lettering on
them? I’ve never seen them in a
shop. Are they special?
The yellow Dunlop logos you
see on factory bikes and MXA test
bikes are rubberized stickers that
are put on after the fact. Dunlop
does not sell tires with yellow
lettering on them, nor do they sell
the rubber stickers. In truth, the
stickers look very cool when new,
but after a couple of motos they
are faded and ragged. If you want
to do it yourself, you can use a
paint pen to fill in the embossed
letters on the sidewall of any tire.
SHOWING FAVORITISM TO
Why does every cover of MXA
have a KTM on it?
Perhaps it’s because KTM is the
largest-selling producer of offroad
motorcycles in the world. Perhaps it’s
because KTM makes more different
models of dirt bikes than Honda,
Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki
combined. And, perhaps it is because
you are mistaken. In the last 12
issues of MXA that had individual bikes on the cover, Yamahas
appeared the most—five times.
